The Cold Art of Joe: Part 1

Joe is chill.  Joe is coffee.  Have a cup of Joe. 

In February of 2023, I left my full time job to fulfill my dream of being an entrepreneur.  

I have been designing innovative coffee technologies for over a decade. I was a key member of the R&D team at Keurig Dr. Pepper, responsible for designing new products. My designs have come to life and your counter tops in the form of Keurig Kold, Drinkworks, and other cold-related appliances.

I was instrumental in improving the efficiency of refrigeration systems, developing new ways to preserve beverages, and creating more comfortable living spaces.

My passion for cooling technology began in college.. I was fascinated by the potential of thermoelectric devices to be used for solving real-world problems.

In addition to my work at multiple major manufacturers, I’ve also conducted extensive research into thermoelectric cooling technologies in my own home laboratory built up during the covid-19 pandemic. Significantly, I developed new ways to preserve potable water for extended storage, and I have also worked on projects to create more efficient ways to cool buildings (more on that later).

My work up until now has merely dented the way that we live and at home. AstroBrew promises to be an inspiration to other engineers and scientists, and a testament to the power of innovation. Conquering the ongoing climate crisis will require continued pioneering in the field of advanced cold technology.
